We are back with a new episode but confession, we ended up not talking a lot about the movie. More like Mike and Ernie actually talking about the ship. But James Cameron made a powerhouse of a movie that held a box office record for quite some time and now the movie is turning 20 years old as well as the ship's tragedy hitting 105 years old since the sinking.

Staring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, we are led through a love story during the tragedy of Titanic's maiden voyage. Enjoy the episode!

On this episode Ernie, makes his return after a 2 week hiatus and unveils the new studio to the guys. Mike talks about the Power Rangers movie. Ernie and Randy discuss Marvel's Iron Fist.

Released in 1989 Honey, I shrunk the kids was such a fun movie and we would be crazy not to talk about it. Leading the way was Rick Moranis who builds a shrink ray gun that goes wrong and shrinks the kids. Small items now turned huge makes this adventure worth the conversation. Enjoy the episode!

It's Morphin time! This week's episode focuses on teenagers with attitude battling the evil forces of Rita Rupulsa. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! You can almost hear it now, the theme song of course.

This show aired in the 90's right after school while much of the first season didn't have much of a story, the showed did have an array of new monsters each week. When the Power Rangers were in deep trouble they would call on the power of the Dino-zords and form the Megazord! Enjoy the episode!

Feb 8, 2017

It's February 2017 and love is in the air, well at least for the content we will be covering for Valentine's day. But first a bit of news. We needed some comic book therapy, it was recently reported the Ben Affleck will no longer be directing The Batman movie which scares us a bit. We discuss what could have possibly gone wrong?

Buttercup and Westley, Westley and Buttercup...This movie has it all, love, humor, sword fighting, and of course Andre the Giant. Now coming up on 30 years, this movie is still a great piece of film work. We sit down and talk about how this movie was amazingly written. Enjoy the Show!

Part 2 of our John Carpenter series of the Escape from movies, as we close out this chapter. It was a very slow week for news but the one thing we got around to talking about was big. Star Wars Episode VIII finally has a title.

Well this time around it wasn't Ernie who needed convincing, this time it was Randy. In all of it's hokey 90's action glory we present "Escape from L.A." staring Kurt Russell yet again reprising his role as Snake Plissken. We hope you enjoy our laugh fest.

Jan 25, 2017

We've got a doozy for you this week, but first two trailers dropped on the day we recorded this. The first trailer we talked about was The Power Rangers movie, and oh boy were we spoiled with this trailer. We finally get to see Bryan Cranston as Zordon, we see Alpha 5, Putties, and The Mega Zord fighting Goldar. Logan dropped another trailer as well, the Red Band trailer really shows that this is going out with a bang.

Today's episode we decided to take it back to 1981, and also it's our first Kurt Russell film review of The Retro Convo. The crime rate has gone up 400 percent and New York is turned into a massive prison. Snake Plissken makes a deal to help the President of the United States out for leniency on his prison term. We are taken through a dark world of Crazies, Survivors, and The Duke. Enjoy our latest episode of The Retro Convo.

Continuing our conversation for 2017, we decided to take it back to a fan favorite and cult classic Labyrinth from 1986. We needed help with this episode so we called up a good friend Nic Cowan from Surf Ninjas who happens to be a big David Bowie fan. First up we discuss King of the Hill turning 20 years old for news.

When people think of David Bowie, they think of Bowie from this period with the theatrics that made him a mysterious character. Also joining the cast was a young Jennifer Connelly but also a powerhouse in the production side from Jim Henson for puppetry and Executive Producer George Lucas. This is an interesting film but has so much to breakdown. Enjoy as we journey into the Labyrinth.

Dec 24, 2016

Disclaimer: We recorded this episode on Dec. 22nd and edited the show on Dec. 23rd and recently found out Carrie Fisher or as we better know her, our Princess Leia had a heart attack. Now since we are covering the Holiday special we said so many jokes and Carrie Fisher was not spared in our joking, but as many of us know she would make light of her recent situation. Our hearts go out to Our Leader of the Resistance, Our Princess Leia and may the force be with her.

So many things can be said about The Star Wars Holiday special...well actually not really, considering this is tough to watch. But we did it, we are covering it and RandomChatter cannot jam our transmission. So have fun with us as we joke about this "Right of Passage" for any Star Wars Fan and get ready for the new year about to come upon us. But from us to you...Happy Holidays and Happy Life Day!
